Dylan Moses (born May 25, 1998) is an American professional football player. He plays as a linebacker, which is a defensive position in football. Dylan played college football for the Alabama Crimson Tide team. After college, he signed with the Jacksonville Jaguars in 2021.

Early Life and High School Years

Dylan Moses grew up in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. He first went to University High School there. Later, he moved to IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida, for his final year of high school.

During his senior year, Dylan was named the National Player of the Year by Parade Magazine. He also won the Butkus Award, which goes to the best linebacker in high school. Dylan was considered one of the top young football players in the country. He first decided to play college football at Louisiana State University (LSU), but he later changed his mind and chose the University of Alabama.

College Football Career

Dylan Moses started playing for the Alabama Crimson Tide in 2017. Even though it was his first year, he played in 11 games and started in two of them. He made 30 tackles, which means he stopped the opposing team's players 30 times. He also had one and a half sacks (tackling the quarterback) and one interception (catching a pass meant for the other team).

Unfortunately, Dylan missed some big games at the end of his first year due to a broken foot. These included the 2018 Sugar Bowl and the 2018 College Football Playoff National Championship.

In 2018, Dylan became a full-time starter for Alabama. He was again a finalist for the Butkus Award, showing he was one of the best linebackers in college football. Before the 2019 season began, Dylan got a knee injury during practice. This injury was serious, and he had to miss the entire season. Despite the injury, he decided to return to Alabama for his senior year.

Professional Football Journey

After his college career, Dylan Moses began his professional football journey.

Jacksonville Jaguars

On May 1, 2021, Dylan signed with the Jacksonville Jaguars. He joined the team as an undrafted free agent, meaning he wasn't chosen in the main player draft but was still signed by a team. He was placed on a special injury list and did not play during the 2021 season. The Jaguars released him in April 2022.

Other Teams

Dylan later signed with the Memphis Showboats in November 2023, which is part of the United States Football League (USFL). He was released from that team in March 2024. In May 2024, he signed with the Winnipeg Blue Bombers in the Canadian Football League (CFL), but he was released in June of the same year.
