Eagle Lake is a beautiful lake in the Adirondacks of New York State. It is about 180 acres in size, which is like 136 football fields! Eagle Lake is a key part of the Eckford Chain of lakes. This chain connects several lakes, including Blue Mountain Lake and Utowana Lake. Eagle Lake is right in the middle of these two.
A special place on Eagle Lake is Eagle Nest camp. This is a historic "Adirondack Great Camp." Great Camps were large, fancy vacation homes built in the wilderness. Eagle Nest camp was built in 1937 and is still owned by the Hochschild family today.
