Eden is a small town in Erie County, New York, in the United States. It's located south of the big city of Buffalo. In 2020, about 7,573 people lived there.
Eden is known as one of the "Southtowns" of Erie County. It sits in the south-central part of the county. No one is quite sure how the town got its name!

History of Eden
The first people to settle in Eden arrived in 1808. Among them were Samuel Tubbs, John Welch, Dr. John March, Levi Bunting, and Daniel Webster.
The town of Eden was officially created in 1812. It was formed from a part of an older town called Willink. Later, Eden gave up some of its land to help create the towns of Evans and Boston. Before it was called Eden, the town was known as "Hill's Corners" until 1822.

Eden covers a total area of about 39.86 square miles (103.24 square kilometers). Most of this area is land. Only a tiny part, about 0.07 square miles (0.18 square kilometers), is water.

Eden Corn Festival
The Eden Corn Festival is a popular yearly event. It's a small festival that celebrates corn. You can usually find a craft show, a car show, and some fun rides. There's also a parade and lots of local food, especially dishes made with corn! People also enjoy baseball and softball tournaments, and a tractor pull.
Summer Concerts
During the summer, especially around the time of the Corn Festival, there's a summer concert series. Local musicians play music in front of the Eden Elementary School for everyone to enjoy.
Kazoo Factory
Did you know Eden has a special factory? The Original American Kazoo Company was started in 1916. It's the only factory in North America that makes metal Kazoos! You can visit the factory on Route 62. They have a gift shop and a museum. The museum shows the history of the kazoo and how they are put together step by step.
