El Masnou (Catalan for 'the new farmhouse') is a town in Catalonia, Spain. It's located on the coast, near the big city of Barcelona. El Masnou is part of the Maresme region.
This town is a popular place for tourists. It's also a "dormitory town." This means many people live here but travel to Barcelona for work or school.
