Elizabeth Allen Rosenbaum is an American film and television director. She is well-known for directing popular movies like Purple Hearts and Sneakerella (both from 2022). She also directed Aquamarine (2006) and Ramona and Beezus (2010). In 2020, she directed and helped produce the first episode of the ice skating show Spinning Out. She also directed episodes of the TV series Dead to Me.

Becoming a Director
Elizabeth Allen Rosenbaum studied at Cornell University. She then went to graduate school at the University of Southern California to learn more about filmmaking.
Early Career in Film
Rosenbaum directed her first movie in 2006. It was a teen romantic comedy called Aquamarine. This movie was filmed in Australia. It was even nominated for two Teen Choice Awards!
In 2010, Rosenbaum directed Ramona and Beezus. This was a family comedy based on the popular children's book series by Beverly Cleary. For her work on this film, Rosenbaum won the Women's Image Network Award for Best Female Director.
She also directed the 2015 thriller movie Careful What You Wish For. This film starred Nick Jonas in his first big movie role.
Directing for Television
In 2020, Rosenbaum directed and was an executive producer for the Netflix series Spinning Out. This show was about a talented ice skater.
She has also directed many episodes for other TV shows. Some of these include Gossip Girl, Pretty Little Liars, All American, Guilt, Why Women Kill, The Vampire Diaries, and Dead to Me.
