Elizabeth Mitchell (born Elizabeth Joanna Robertson on March 27, 1970) is an American actress. She is well-known for her roles in many TV shows and movies. She was nominated for a Primetime Emmy Award for her role as Juliet Burke in the mystery drama series Lost.
Elizabeth Mitchell also played important roles in TV series like V, Revolution, and The Santa Clauses. For The Santa Clauses, she was nominated for a Children's and Family Emmy Award. She also appeared in popular shows such as ER, Once Upon a Time, and Outer Banks.
Her movie roles include Frequency, The Santa Clause 2, and The Purge: Election Year.

About Elizabeth Mitchell's Early Life
Elizabeth Mitchell was born in Los Angeles, California. When she was very young, she moved to Dallas, Texas, with her mother. Her mother later married Joseph Mitchell in 1975. Both her mother and stepfather were lawyers in Dallas.
Elizabeth went to Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing and Visual Arts. This is a special public school for students interested in arts. She is the oldest of three sisters.
She studied acting at Stephens College, where she earned a degree in fine arts. She also studied at the British American Drama Academy.
Elizabeth Mitchell's Acting Career
Elizabeth Mitchell started her acting career in theater. She spent six years performing at the Dallas Theater Center. She also had an early TV role in the soap opera Loving from 1994 to 1995.
She appeared in the movie Frequency in 2000. In 2002, she played Carol Newman, who becomes Mrs. Claus, in The Santa Clause 2. She played this role again in The Santa Clause 3: The Escape Clause in 2006. More recently, she returned as Mrs. Claus in The Santa Clauses, a series on Disney+ that started in 2022. She was nominated for an Emmy for this role.
On TV, she had a recurring role in ER from 2000 to 2001. She played a doctor named Kim Legaspi. She also appeared in one episode of House M.D..
In 2006, Elizabeth Mitchell joined the cast of Lost as Juliet Burke. She was a main character for three seasons. In the same year, she was in the movie Running Scared.
In 2009, she was cast in the ABC series V, a remake of an older science-fiction show. She became the lead actress in V. Her character in Lost was written out, but she did return for the final episodes of Lost. V ran for one more season.

In 2022, she joined FBI: International in a recurring role as Angela Cassidy. Angela is a government agent and the long-lost mother of the main character, Scott Forrester.

Elizabeth Mitchell married actor Chris Soldevilla in 2004. They lived together on Bainbridge Island, Washington. Their son was born in 2005. The couple later separated in 2013.
