Ellsworth is a small village in Antrim County, Michigan. In 2020, about 367 people lived there. It's part of Banks Township.
Ellsworth is mostly a place where people live and then travel to work in bigger towns. Its main jobs are related to digging up gravel and other materials from the ground. Farming and working with trees (forestry) are also important.
Every year, Ellsworth hosts a fun event called the Pig Roast. It includes a parade, horse pulls, and, of course, roasted pork! The village is named after Elmer Ephraim Ellsworth. He was the first officer from the Union Army to die in the American Civil War.

History of Ellsworth Village
The village of Ellsworth started in 1881. It soon grew to include two older small communities called Needmore and Ox Bow. Ellsworth officially became a village in 1938.

Ellsworth is a small place. It covers about 0.80 square miles (2.1 square kilometers). Most of this area is land, with a small part being water.
The village is located about 40 miles (64 kilometers) northeast of Traverse City.
