Emma Muscat (born on November 27, 1999) is a talented singer and model from Malta. She is well-known for her music career in Italy. In 2022, Emma proudly represented her home country, Malta, at the famous Eurovision Song Contest 2022 with her song "I Am What I Am".

Emma Muscat's Early Life and Music Journey

Emma Muscat was born in Malta. She grew up in a family that loved music. Emma started learning music from a very young age. After finishing school, she decided to study at the University of Performing Arts.

As a teenager, Emma showed great skills in singing and dancing. She also played musical instruments. She became especially good at playing the piano. Emma is a classically trained pianist. She also started writing her own songs, including both the music and the lyrics.

In February 2022, Emma Muscat entered a song for the Malta Eurovision Song Contest 2022. This contest chooses who will represent Malta at Eurovision. Her song "Out of Sight" won the competition. She received 92 points in total. This meant she would represent Malta at the Eurovision Song Contest 2022 in Turin, Italy. Emma won both the jury's vote and the public's vote. All six members of the Maltese national jury gave her 12 points. She also got 20 votes from the public who voted by phone.

However, on March 14, 2022, a new song was released. It was called "I Am What I Am." This song replaced "Out of Sight" as Emma's entry for Eurovision. Emma performed "I Am What I Am" in the second semi-final of the contest on May 12, 2022. Unfortunately, she did not qualify for the final round. She finished in 16th place. This was Malta's eighth time not qualifying for the final.

After Eurovision

After Eurovision, Emma continued to make music. She recorded songs with other artists. She sang "La Stessa Lingua" with Spanish Eurovision 2021 artist Blas Cantó. In 2023, she released a song called M.I.A. with Italian DJ Benny Benassi.
