The Story of Emmons
Emmons became an official city in 1899. It was named after an early settler, a person who helped start the community, named Henry G. Emmons. A post office has been open in Emmons since 1899, helping people send and receive mail for over a hundred years.
Where is Emmons Located?
Emmons is found in the southwestern part of Minnesota. It's located southwest of a larger city called Albert Lea. You can find Emmons right along U.S. Highway 69, which is a major road.

In 2010, a census was taken to count everyone living in Emmons. There were 391 people living there, making it a small community. These people lived in 174 different homes, and 119 of these were families.
