Eugene Anthony Clark (born December 3, 1951) is an American-Canadian actor. He was also a professional football player. He played as an offensive guard.
Clark played for the Toronto Argonauts in the Canadian Football League (CFL) for two seasons. As an actor, he is well-known for playing Detective Colby Burns in the 1980s TV show Night Heat. This role helped him win a Gemini Award in 1987. He also played the zombie 'Big Daddy' in George A. Romero's movie Land of the Dead (2005). Eugene Clark has also performed in many musical theatre shows.

Early Life and Education
Eugene Clark was born in Tampa, Florida. He grew up in both Florida and Riverside, California. He finished high school at Riverside Polytechnic High School. Later, he earned a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology. He studied at the University of California, Los Angeles.
Football Career Highlights
Before becoming a professional football player, Clark was an actor for four years. He played college football at UCLA. He was an all-conference offensive guard. He was named to the first All-Star teams for both the Pacific-8 and the West Coast Athletic Conference.
Clark also received an All-Star All-American Honorable Mention. He played in the Hula Bowl. In 1975, the Pittsburgh Steelers picked him in the ninth round of the 1975 NFL draft. Although he did not play in a National Football League game, he did play in the Canadian Football League. He played 20 games for the Toronto Argonauts in 1977 and 1978.
Acting Career Highlights
Clark has had many important roles in his acting career. He was a co-star as Sid Gomez in the 1990s science fiction show William Shatner's Tek War.
He also appeared in other TV shows like RoboCop: Prime Directives and The Twilight Zone. He was in Sue Thomas: F.B.Eye and The L.A. Complex. He even made a small appearance in Trailer Park Boys: The Movie. Clark also starred in the VH1 movie Man in the Mirror: The Michael Jackson Story. He was in Fighting the Odds: The Marilyn Gambrell Story and the thriller Legend of the Mountain Witch.
In musical theatre, Clark played the role of Mufasa. This was in the Ontario production of The Lion King. He performed this role for two years.
One of Clark's most famous movie roles was in George A. Romero's Land of the Dead. In this film, he played the main zombie character, "Big Daddy."
