Evanslea is a small countryside area, also called a locality, in the Toowoomba Region of Queensland, Australia. In 2021, only 31 people lived there.

Geography of Evanslea
Evanslea is home to two main mountains. These are Mount Russell and Mount Taylor.
- Mount Russell is about 501 metres (1,644 feet) tall.
- Mount Taylor is a bit taller at 534 metres (1,752 feet).
There used to be a train station here called Evanslea railway station. It was part of the Cecil Plains railway line, but both the station and the line are now closed.
Most of the land in Evanslea is used for growing crops. Some areas, especially in the south-east, are used for grazing animals on natural grasslands.
Roads in Evanslea
The main road that goes through Evanslea is the Toowoomba–Cecil Plains Road. It runs from the east side of the area to the west.
History of Evanslea
The name Evanslea comes from its old railway station. This station was named after Charles Barnard Evans. He was in charge of the railways in Queensland from 1911 to 1918.
The Evanslea railway station opened in September 1915. It was the end of the Cecil Plains railway line at first. Later, the railway line was made longer to reach Cecil Plains.
The neighbourhood of Norillee also got its name from a railway station. The Norillee railway station was in the nearby area of Bongeen. The Queensland Railways Department named it on December 12, 1918. Norillee is an Aboriginal word that means "mountain ridge" or "series of peaks."
