Exton is a small village in East Devon, England. It is located on the east side of the River Clyst. This river flows into the wider Exe Estuary. The town of Topsham is about 1 mile (1.6 km) away. It is located to the north-west of Exton.
What You Can Find in Exton
Exton has a few useful places for its residents and visitors. You can find St. Andrew's Church of England church here. There is also a village hall for community events. The village has a petrol station. If you need a place to stay, there are two bed and breakfasts. You can also visit the Puffing Billy, which is a popular pub and restaurant.
Just south of the village is a training center. This is where the Royal Marines learn important skills.
Getting Around Exton
Exton is easy to reach by train. The village has its own train stop called Exton railway station. This station is on the Avocet Line. Great Western Railway runs trains every half hour. These trains travel between Exmouth and Paignton. They also stop at Exeter St Davids.
The main A376 road passes through the eastern part of the village. This road connects Exton to other towns. If you enjoy cycling, National Cycle Route 2 goes right through Exton. This route is great for bike rides.
