Where is Fairbanks?
Fairbanks is about 18 miles (29 km) southeast of Hoyt Lakes. You can reach it by following Saint Louis County Highway 16. This road is also known as Forest Highway 11. It's a direct road that goes east and west in northeast Minnesota.
The community is also about 36 miles (58 km) northwest of Two Harbors. The border between Saint Louis County and Lake County is very close to Fairbanks.
