Fayette is in the northeastern part of Lafayette County. It shares a border with Iowa County to the north.

Yellowstone Lake
A big part of the water in Fayette is Yellowstone Lake. This lake is a reservoir on the Yellowstone River. You can find it in the eastern part of the town.
