Figaro at Disney Parks
Figaro can be found in many places at the Disney theme parks. You can spot him at attractions like Pinocchio's Daring Journey. He also appears in parades, such as the Celebrate A Dreams Come True Parade. At Fantasy Faire in Disneyland, Figaro is often seen sleeping in a window. Sometimes, a bird wakes him up by chirping Disney songs.
Figaro in Restaurants
At the Pinocchio's Village Haus restaurant, Figaro is part of the decorations. He appears in murals that tell the story of Pinocchio. The restaurant even has "Figaro Fries" named after him! Over the exit, Figaro is shown pulling a sign with a rope. This was a clever way to fix a design problem at Disneyland. At Disneyland Paris, the sign was centered correctly. There, Figaro leans on the sign and gives a thumbs up.
Figaro's Shop
Figaro also has a shop named after him at Tokyo DisneySea. It's called Figaro's Clothiers. This shop is located in the Mediterranean Harbor area of the park.
Figaro's Personality
Figaro acts a lot like a playful and sometimes spoiled child. He can get angry easily. But deep down, he is a very kind and loving cat.
What Figaro Dislikes
Figaro doesn't like many things. He hates waiting for things to happen. He also dislikes taking baths. Being tricked or made fun of makes him mad. Dogs are often on his dislike list too. He even sometimes avoids giving Cleo, the goldfish, a goodnight kiss!
Figaro and Pluto
In some older Disney cartoons, Figaro was a bit more mischievous. He often had rivalries with Pluto, Mickey Mouse's dog. They would often battle over different things. Sometimes, they fought for Minnie's attention. Figaro would tease Pluto when no one was watching. But sometimes, they learned to get along. In more recent cartoons, their friendship has improved. Now, Figaro often looks up to Pluto.
Modern Appearances
In shows like Mickey Mouse Clubhouse and Minnie's Bow-Toons, Figaro is much better behaved. He is a close friend to Minnie Mouse. He often sleeps in her shop while she works. His roles in these shows are usually small but important.
Figaro's Enemies
Figaro has a few enemies in his adventures. These include the giant whale Monstro and the villainous Pete. Sometimes, Pluto can be an enemy in certain old cartoons.
Figaro as a WWII Mascot
Figaro was even a mascot during World War II. A picture of Figaro swatting a swastika was painted on some airplanes. These planes were Hawker Hurricanes and Spitfire Mk. Vb Trop planes. They were flown by a pilot named Ian Gleed. Figaro was a symbol of good luck and fighting spirit for the pilots.
