The Fitzsimmons Range is a small group of mountains in British Columbia, Canada. It's located near the famous Whistler Blackcomb ski resort. This mountain range sits between two valleys: Cheakamus Lake to the southwest and Fitzsimmons Creek to the northeast. A big part of the Fitzsimmons Range is inside Garibaldi Provincial Park.

Discover the Fitzsimmons Range
The Fitzsimmons Range is part of the larger Garibaldi Ranges. It's known for its beautiful scenery and popular ski areas. The northeastern edge of the range is home to the resort town of Whistler. This area is a big part of the ski resort operations.
Famous Mountains and Skiing
One of the most famous mountains in this range is Whistler Mountain. It overlooks the town of Whistler. Whistler Mountain is one of the two main mountains that make up the Whistler Blackcomb ski resort. This resort is a very popular place for skiing and snowboarding.
Other Peaks Near Whistler
South of Whistler Mountain, you'll find several smaller peaks. These include Oboe Summit, Piccolo Summit, and Flute Summit. These names were chosen to go along with the renaming of Whistler Mountain. They are like small hills along a ridge that stretches southeast from Whistler Mountain.
Beyond these peaks is Singing Pass. This pass leads to Mount Fitzsimmons. Mount Fitzsimmons is 2,603 meters (8,540 feet) tall. It's at the opposite end of the range from Whistler Mountain. The Fitzsimmons Glacier is located here. This glacier is the source of Fitzsimmons Creek.
Tallest Peaks of the Range
Mount Fitzsimmons is part of a larger mountain group called the Overlord Massif. A "massif" is a compact group of mountains. This massif is named after the highest peak in the entire Fitzsimmons Range.
Overlord Mountain and Its Neighbors
The highest peak in the Fitzsimmons Range is Overlord Mountain. It stands at 2,625 meters (8,612 feet) tall. Overlord Mountain is just west of Mount Fitzsimmons. The Overlord Massif looks like a pyramid when viewed from Whistler Village.
Another important peak in this massif is Mount Benvolio. It reaches 2,613 meters (8,573 feet) in height. South of the Overlord massif, you can find other tall peaks. These include Cheakamus Mountain at 2,588 meters (8,491 feet). Angelo Peak is 2,561 meters (8,402 feet) tall, and Diavolo Peak is 2,569 meters (8,428 feet) tall.
