Florence is a small town in Oneida County, New York, United States. In 2010, about 1,025 people lived there. The town is named after the famous city of Florence in Italy.
You can find the Town of Florence in the northwest part of Oneida County. It is also northwest of the City of Rome.
History of Florence
Florence was first created in 1805. It was formed from a part of another town called Camden.

The town of Florence covers an area of about 55 square miles (142 square kilometers). Most of this area is land. Only a tiny part, about 0.1 square miles, is water.
The western edge of Florence borders Oswego County. The northern edge of the town touches both Oswego County and Lewis County.
