Fort Calhoun is a small city in Washington County, Nebraska, in the United States. In 2020, about 1,100 people lived there. This city is special because it's home to Fort Atkinson. This was the very first fort built west of the Missouri River.

Fort Calhoun was officially planned and laid out in 1855. It was named after John C. Calhoun. He was an important American politician.
