The Fresquel is a river in southern France. It's a 'tributary' (a smaller river or stream that flows into a larger one) of the Aude river. The Fresquel mostly flows through the department of Aude in France.

About the Fresquel River
The Fresquel river is about 63 km (39 mi) long. The area of land that drains into the river, called its drainage basin, is about 932 km2 (360 sq mi).

Where the Fresquel River Flows
The Fresquel river begins in the northwest part of the Aude department. It starts in a 'commune' (a small administrative area, like a town or village) called Baraigne. The river's starting point is about 265 m (869 ft) above sea level.
First, it flows west into the Haute-Garonne department. Then it turns north and goes back into the Aude department near Seuil de Naurouze. From there, it flows east. Finally, the Fresquel joins the Aude river in Carcassonne. This meeting point is about 90 m (295 ft) above sea level.
