Fullerton Cove is a quiet, countryside suburb in New South Wales, Australia. It's part of the Port Stephens area, which is like its local government. The suburb gets its name from the nearby Fullerton Cove waterway.

It is located just north of Fern Bay. The Worimi people are the traditional owners of this land. In 2021, about 745 people lived in Fullerton Cove.

Fullerton Cove is west of the Tasman Sea. Even though the coastline is part of Stockton Beach, you can't easily get to the beach from Fullerton Cove. There's only a private path through a large sand mining area. This path is not open to the public.

This area is known for the wreck of the MV Sygna. This huge ship ran aground during a storm in 1974. It has become a famous landmark. Many off-road drivers visit it along Stockton Beach.

Most people in Fullerton Cove live along Fullerton Cove Road. This area is about 2.4 square kilometers (0.9 square miles). This is only a small part of the suburb's total size. The main road into Fullerton Cove is Nelson Bay Road. You can reach it from Fern Bay in the south or Williamtown in the north.

Stanley Park Estate

Stanley Park is a historic property at 77 Fullerton Cove Road. James Smith first owned the land in 1837. He built the original house on 880 acres.

In 1897, Stanley Smith, a grandson of an early owner, built a new two-story homestead. This grand house cost £1,800 at the time. The Smith family lived there until 1968. The last family members moved out because they couldn't afford repairs. The property was sold in 1980 after being empty for twelve years.

The house has six marble fireplaces. It also features beautiful cedar wood details. The original French doors and wide verandahs have been restored. These verandahs have pretty wrought iron decorations. The house is privately owned and sits on 28 acres of land. It has eight Victorian-style bedrooms. Today, Stanley Park is used for weddings, special events, and as accommodation. You can also enjoy high teas there.

Getting Around
