The Gap Mountains are a mountain range found in eastern Nye County, Nevada. This range includes Gap Mountain and Fox Mountain. These mountains stand tall over the White River valley to their west.
Where are the Gap Mountains?
The Gap Mountains are located in the eastern part of Nye County. Gap Mountain is only about 1.5 miles southwest of the southern end of the Egan Range. The Egan Range is in a nearby area called Lincoln County. It looks like Gap Mountain might even be a part of the Egan Range.

Fox Mountain is also about 7 miles northeast of the northern end of the Seaman Range. To the west, across the White River Valley, you can find the Grant Range and the smaller Golden Gate Range.
How Tall are They?

Getting There
You can find Nevada State Route 318 to the east of both Gap and Fox mountains. The White River makes a curve around the western side of these mountains near the highway.
