Gary Beadle (born 8 July 1965) is a British actor. He is well-known for his roles in many TV shows and films. He has been acting since the 1980s.

Gary Beadle's Early Life and Start in Acting
Gary Beadle grew up in Bermondsey, South London. He was one of five children. When he was young, he and his older brother, Rikki Beadle-Blair, put on a play. It was a version of the movie Bugsy Malone. Rikki directed the play and Gary played a character named Fizzy.
An assistant to the original film's director saw their play. She helped Gary, Rikki, and their younger sister get into the Anna Scher Theatre School. This is where Gary started to love acting.
Music and Comedy Beginnings
When Gary was in his early twenties, he became very interested in hip hop music. He especially liked groups like Run-D.M.C. and the Sugarhill Gang. He even moved to New York City for a short time.
After returning to London, Gary formed a rap group called The City Limits Crew. He used the stage name 'Pretty Boy Gee'. In 1985, his group released two songs. They also performed on BBC Radio 1 and at a big hip hop event called Electro Rock. Gary also worked as a comedian before focusing on acting.
Gary Beadle's Acting Career
Gary Beadle has appeared in many popular TV shows and films. His first TV role was in The Young Ones in 1984. He also appeared in the 1986 film Absolute Beginners.
Notable TV Roles
Gary has been in several well-known British TV series. He played Simon in Making Out from 1989 to 1991. He also had a role in the comedy show Absolutely Fabulous. In 1997, he was in Born to Run. He also appeared in the police drama The Bill and the medical drama Casualty.
In 2001, Gary joined the cast of EastEnders. He played the character Paul Trueman. He left the show in 2004 because he wanted to try new things. His character was written out of the show.
After EastEnders, Gary continued to act. He appeared in Holby City in 2005 and Doctors in 2006. He also had a role in the film Until Death.
Later TV and Film Work
In 2007, Gary was in the BBC Three comedy Thieves Like Us. The next year, he played Paul Langer, Clyde Langer's father, in The Sarah Jane Adventures. In 2009, he appeared in the film Malice in Wonderland.
Gary has also performed in plays. In 2010, he was in Sucker Punch at the Royal Court Theatre. In 2012, he appeared in the TV show Hustle. In 2015, he played Docker in The Interceptor and was in the film In the Heart of the Sea.
In 2016, Gary performed in the play Les Blancs at the Royal National Theatre. He also played a detective in an episode of Silent Witness. From 2017 to 2021, he played Archdeacon Gabriel Atubo in Grantchester.
More recently, Gary has appeared in many other TV shows. These include Andor (2022), The Wheel of Time (2023), and The Gentlemen (2024). He also appeared in A Good Girl's Guide to ... in 2024.
