Gary Beadle (born 8 July 1965) is a British actor. He is well-known for his many roles in TV shows and films. He has appeared in popular series like EastEnders and The Sarah Jane Adventures.

Life and Career
Early Life and First Steps in Acting
Gary Beadle grew up in Bermondsey, South London. He was one of five children in his family. When he was young, he and his older brother, Rikki Beadle-Blair, loved acting.
They even created their own version of the 1976 musical film Bugsy Malone. Rikki directed the play, and Gary played the character Fizzy. This play helped them get into the Anna Scher Theatre School.
Music and Comedy
When Gary was in his early twenties, he developed a love for hip hop music. He especially liked groups like Run-D.M.C. and the Sugarhill Gang. He even moved to New York City for a while.
When he returned to London, Gary formed a rap group called The City Limits Crew. He used the stage name 'Pretty Boy Gee'. In 1985, the group released two songs: "Keep It On" and "Fresher Than Ever". They also performed at a big hip hop event called Electro Rock.
Gary also worked as a comedian before focusing on acting.
Becoming a TV and Film Actor
Gary Beadle has appeared in many TV shows and films. Some of his early roles include The Young Ones (1984) and the film Absolute Beginners (1986). He also played Simon in the TV series Making Out from 1989 to 1991.
He was in the BBC sitcom Absolutely Fabulous. He also appeared in the police drama The Bill and the medical drama Casualty.
Role in EastEnders
In 2001, Gary took on the role of Paul Trueman in the popular soap opera EastEnders. He played this character for several years. His character was eventually written out of the show.
After EastEnders
After leaving EastEnders, Gary continued to act. He performed in a stage production of Snow White. He also had roles in other TV shows like Holby City (2005) and Doctors (2006).
In 2007, he appeared in the film Until Death with Jean-Claude Van Damme. He was also in the BBC Three comedy Thieves Like Us.
Later Roles
In 2008, Gary Beadle played Paul Langer, the father of Clyde Langer, in The Sarah Jane Adventures. This show is a spin-off from Doctor Who.
He appeared in the film Malice in Wonderland in 2009. In 2010, he performed in the play Sucker Punch.
In 2012, he was in an episode of Hustle. In 2015, he played Docker in the BBC drama The Interceptor. He also appeared in the film In the Heart of the Sea.
More recently, Gary has been in the play Les Blancs (2016). He also played a Detective Chief Inspector in Silent Witness. From 2017 to 2021, he appeared as Archdeacon Gabriel Atubo in the TV series Grantchester.
