Genesis Lynea Edwards (born October 20, 1989) is a talented actress, dancer, and singer from Bermuda. She is famous for being one of the original queens in the hit musical Six, where she played Anna of Cleves. Many people also know her from TV shows like the BBC medical drama Casualty and the crime show Silent Witness.

Early Life and Education
Genesis Lynea was born on the island of Bermuda. Her parents were both performers. Her father, Lionel Edwards, is a saxophonist, and her mother, Ginea "Adi" Wolf, is an actress and singer.
When Lynea was a child, she moved to London with her mother, who was studying Performing Arts at Middlesex University. Lynea went to primary and secondary school in London. After a few years, her family moved back to Bermuda.
Later, Lynea returned to London for college. She first started studying Geography at King's College London. However, she soon realized she wanted to be a performer. She switched to the Arts Educational School (ArtsEd) and graduated in 2013 with a degree in Musical Theatre.
Career Journey
First Steps on Stage
Lynea's first professional job was in the children's group for the opera The Magic Flute. After moving back to London in 2006, she and her friends started a dance group called Krumpire. This was one of the first Krump dance groups in Britain.
Soon after, she appeared in the music video for Jessie J's song "Do It Like A Dude". In 2012, she was chosen for a special project by Adidas for the London Olympics. Her picture was even featured on billboards around the city.
Success in Musicals
Lynea began her stage career with roles in big musicals. She performed in The Bodyguard, Bend It Like Beckham: The Musical, and the award-winning Jesus Christ Superstar. She also had a role in a 2016 production of Legally Blonde in Leicester.
In 2017, she starred in the musical The Wild Party. That same year, she landed the role of Anna of Cleves in the original cast of Six. She also sang on the official cast album, which has sold over 100,000 copies around the world.
Television and Film Roles
Lynea made her TV debut in 2018 on the CBBC show 4 O'Clock Club as Miss Maddie Harper. She then got a leading role in the play Sylvia at The Old Vic theatre in London.
From 2019 to 2020, she played Dr. Archie Hudson in the popular BBC show Casualty. In 2021, she joined the cast of another long-running BBC show, Silent Witness, as the pathologist Simone Tyler.
She has also appeared in several other TV series. These include Shadow and Bone on Netflix, A Discovery of Witches, and The Baby. More recently, she had roles in Death in Paradise and the 2024 season of Doctor Who.
Lynea has also acted in several short films. Her film Love is a Hand Grenade won an award at the Bristol Independent Film Festival.
