Glen Day's Early Life and Golf Start
Glen Day was born in Mobile, Alabama. He grew up in Poplarville, Mississippi, with his mother, Jeanne Bass Day. Glen's mother became a widow when he was about two years old. His grandfather, Glyndol Bass, was a very important male role model for him.
Glyndol Bass loved golf and was a member of the Pearl River Valley Country Club. He introduced Glen to golf when Glen was only two or three years old. By the time Glen was 10, he was already a very good golfer. He had a "5 handicap," which means he could usually shoot close to par (the expected score) on 18 holes.
In 1983, Glen graduated from Poplarville High School. After high school, he went to the University of Oklahoma.

In 2000, Glen had a great start to the season. He finished tied for 8th place in the Mercedes Championship. The next year, in 2001, he continued to play well. He finished 4th in the MasterCard Colonial and tied for 6th in the AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am.
As he got older, Glen played on both the PGA Tour and the Nationwide Tour. After he turned 50, he joined the PGA Tour Champions.
