Goce Sedloski (born April 10, 1974) is a famous football manager and former player from North Macedonia. He used to play as a central defender. He was also the captain of the Macedonia national team. He played in 100 international games for his country.

Today, he is the manager of the Macedonian First Football League club Vardar.

Goce Sedloski's Club Career

Goce Sedloski started his football journey in 1994 with a club called Pobeda Prilep. After two seasons, he moved to Hajduk Split in Croatia.

He then played for the English club Sheffield Wednesday. In January 1999, he returned to Croatia to play for Dinamo Zagreb. He stayed with Dinamo until June 2004.

After that, he played for the Japanese club Vegalta Sendai for half a season. He then came back to Dinamo Zagreb in January 2005. In July 2005, he joined the Turkish club Diyarbakirspor. He played there for one season.

His last club as a player was SV Mattersburg, where he signed a two-year contract. He played there for five years until 2011, when he stopped playing professional football.

Goce Sedloski had his biggest successes while playing for Dinamo Zagreb. He helped them win the Croatian First League three times. He also won the Croatian Cup three times and the Croatian Super Cup twice.

Goce Sedloski's International Career

Goce Sedloski first played for the Macedonia national team in March 1996. This was a friendly game against Malta.

He played a total of 100 games for his country and scored 8 goals. His last international game was a friendly match against Azerbaijan in May 2010.

On August 16, 2006, Sedloski made history. He became the first player to score a goal in the Euro 2008 qualifying tournament. This happened when Macedonia beat Estonia 1–0 in Tallinn.

Goce Sedloski's Managerial Career

After he stopped playing, Goce Sedloski became a football manager.

Early Coaching Roles

He worked as an assistant coach for the Macedonian national team. He was also an interim coach for a short time. He also served as an assistant coach at the Austrian Bundesliga club SV Mattersburg.

Managing Turnovo

In 2013, he became the new manager of the Macedonian club Turnovo. In his only season there, he led them to a great achievement. They reached the UEFA Europa League second qualifying round. They beat a team from Lithuania called Sūduva Marijampolė. Later, they were knocked out by Hajduk Split from Croatia. He also guided the club to finish in 2nd place in the Macedonian First League.

Leading Vardar to Victory

Sedloski coached the Macedonian club FK Vardar. He joined them in 2015 and left in August 2017. During his time with Vardar, he helped them win two league titles. They also won one supercup.

Coaching Riga

From January to May 2018, Sedloski was the manager of the Latvian club Riga. In 9 matches, his team won 4, drew 1, and lost 4.

Managing Široki Brijeg

On August 31, 2018, Sedloski became the new manager of Široki Brijeg. This club plays in the Bosnian Premier League. His first league win with them was a 2–0 home victory against FK Zvijezda 09.

In the 2018–19 season, Sedloski led Široki Brijeg to the final of the 2018–19 Bosnian Cup. They lost to FK Sarajevo in the final. In the league, his team finished 3rd. This meant they qualified for the 2019–20 UEFA Europa League qualifying rounds.

On July 23, 2019, Sedloski decided to leave Široki Brijeg. This was after two losses in the UEFA Europa League qualifying rounds.
