Other businesses included two tanneries (for making leather), two saddler shops, two tailor shops, a blacksmith, a cabinet maker, and a wheelwright. There was also a saddle tree maker, three house carpenters, a hatter, and four boot and shoe makers. By 1928, the population had grown to about 250 people.
