History of Häggenschwil
Häggenschwil has a long history! The first time it was officially written about was in 1419. Back then, it was known by a slightly different name: Hergnschwylen.

Häggenschwil covers an area of about 9.2 square kilometers (3.5 square miles). A large part of this land, about 75.4%, is used for farming. Forests cover about 14% of the area.
