Harry Bliss, born on March 9, 1964, is an American cartoonist and illustrator. He is well-known for drawing many books and creating thousands of cartoons. He has drawn 25 covers for The New Yorker magazine. Harry Bliss also has a popular daily comic strip called Bliss. This comic appears in over 80 newspapers in the United States, Canada, and Japan.

About Harry Bliss's Early Life and Education

Harry Bliss grew up in New York State in a family full of artists. Many people in his family are visual artists. He studied painting at the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts. He also studied illustration at the University of the Arts. Later, he earned a master's degree from Syracuse University.

Harry Bliss has been on the board of directors for The Center for Cartoon Studies (CCS) in White River Junction, Vermont. In 2016, he started a special one-month fellowship for cartoonists with CCS. This fellowship is located in a home in Cornish, New Hampshire, which used to belong to author J. D. Salinger.
