A Look Back: Hartland's History
Hartland was officially planned and mapped out in 1877. This process is called "platting." The city got its name from a place called Hartland, Vermont.
In December 2021, a powerful tornado hit parts of Hartland. This tornado was quite strong, causing damage to the town. It was one of many tornadoes that happened during a big storm event across the Midwest.
