Heather Elizabeth Morris is an American actress, dancer, and singer. She is best known for playing Brittany S. Pierce in the TV show Glee.

About Heather Morris
Heather Morris was born in Thousand Oaks, California. She grew up in Scottsdale, Arizona. Heather started dancing when she was very young. She learned many dance styles like jazz, tap, and contemporary.
When she was 14, her father passed away. After high school, she went to college for a year. Then, she moved to Los Angeles to become a professional dancer.
Heather's Dance Journey
Heather's first big chance came in 2006. She was on the TV show So You Think You Can Dance. She made it through "Vegas Week" but did not make it to the final group.
But Heather did not give up! She kept working hard to become a dancer. In 2007, she got a huge opportunity. She became one of Beyoncé's backup dancers. She danced on Beyoncé's world tour. She also danced with Beyoncé for the "Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It)" song. This included performances on TV shows and awards. She even danced with Beyoncé and Tina Turner at the 50th Annual Grammy Awards in 2008.
Later, she had a small part in the movie Fired Up. There, she met a choreographer named Zach Woodlee. He then asked her to dance in other shows he was working on. This led to her big role as Brittany on Glee.
Becoming a Star
In 2010, Heather was named a style ambassador for FLIRT! Cosmetics. She also made the Maxim Hot 100 list. This list features famous and popular people.
In 2011, Heather was in a commercial for Staples Canada. She showed off her dancing skills in the ad.
Heather also shared that she had a surgery for her health. She said it was hard to be active because she was always in pain. So, she had the surgery to feel better and be more comfortable.
Her Role in Glee
Heather was taking acting classes when she got a call from Zach Woodlee. He asked her to teach the "Single Ladies" dance to the actors on Glee. At the same time, the show was looking for another cheerleader character. Heather ended up getting the role of Brittany.
At first, Brittany was a background character. She hardly ever spoke. But the writers soon saw that Heather was very funny. Her character started to have more lines. People loved her funny one-liners. Many critics said she was one of the funniest characters on TV.
Brittany's Storyline
Heather's role became much bigger in the second season of Glee. She became a main character. In one episode called "Britney/Brittany", her character sang for the first time. She sang "I'm a Slave 4 U" and "Me Against the Music" with Naya Rivera. She also got many other singing and dancing parts.
In season two, Heather's character, Brittany, had a romantic storyline with Naya Rivera's character, Santana. Fans really loved this storyline. Heather and Naya were also best friends in real life.
In season three, Brittany and Santana continued their relationship. Heather had a big part in the episode "Prom-asaurus". At the end of the season, Brittany did not graduate from high school.
During the 2011 Glee Tour, Heather performed "I'm a Slave 4 U". She also had a special dance part with Harry Shum Jr..
In 2011, Heather also helped write a funny video for Funny or Die. It was a parody of a song called "Nuthin' but a 'G' Thang". Many of her Glee co-stars appeared in the video.
Heather did not return as a regular for Glee's fifth season. But she came back for the show's 100th episode. She also appeared in the final season and the very last episode of the show.

Dancing with the Stars
In 2017, Heather was a contestant on Dancing with the Stars. She was paired with professional dancer Maksim Chmerkovskiy. Some people thought her dance experience was an unfair advantage. But the show's producers said she did not have ballroom dance experience.
Heather and Maks were eliminated even after getting a perfect score. Fans were very surprised by this.
The Masked Dancer
In 2022, Heather Morris won the second season of The Masked Dancer in the UK. She performed as the character "Scissors". Since the show ended in 2024, Heather was the last celebrity to be unmasked. She closed the show by dancing to "Respect" by Aretha Franklin.
Teaching Dance
Since 2020, Heather has been part of the HEAT Convention and Competition Faculty. She teaches special dance classes and helps judge dance competitions.
Heather's Family Life
Heather Morris married Taylor Hubbell on May 16, 2015. They started dating when he was in college. They went to the same high school but did not know each other then. They reconnected later on Myspace.
Heather once said that marrying Taylor and having kids was very important to her. She loves acting, but her family comes first. Taylor moved to Los Angeles to live with Heather in 2012. They have two sons together.
