Highland Falls is a small village in Orange County, New York, in the United States. It used to be called Buttermilk Falls. In 2020, about 3,684 people lived there. The village was officially started in 1906.
Highland Falls is located in the Town of Highlands. It is right next to the United States Military Academy at West Point, which is a famous military school.

Another school, Ladycliff Academy, was in Highland Falls from 1900 to 1961. Later, Ladycliff College was on the same campus from 1933 to 1981. This campus was on the east side of the village, looking over the Hudson River.
