Where is Hillview?
Hillview is nestled in a valley where two creeks, Christmas Creek and Widgee Creek, meet. To the east, you'll find the Jinbroken Range, which is a high point marking the town's boundary.
Hillview's Past
Hillview has an interesting history! Long ago, it was a stop on the Beaudesert Shire Tramway, which was like a small train line.
The local school, now called Hillview State School, first opened way back in 1887. It was originally known as Christmas Creek Provisional School. Later, in 1901, it became Christmas Creek State School, before getting its current name in 1914.

Hillview is a very small community. In 2016, there were 74 people living here. By 2021, the population had grown slightly to 76 people.
