How the Show Works
Nearly every episode of House follows a similar pattern. First, you see what happens right before a patient gets sick and is taken to the hospital. Then, Dr. House and his team of colleagues spend a lot of time doing tests. They come up with many different ideas about what might be wrong with the patient.
At the very end of the episode, Dr. House usually has a sudden idea or "aha!" moment. This helps him find the answer to the medical puzzle. Most of the time, the patient gets better after Dr. House finds the correct diagnosis and treatment.
