Release Dates

The Wi-Fi version of the iPad 4 went on sale in several countries on November 2, 2012. The version that could connect to cellular networks (like your phone) came out a few weeks later.

New Storage Option

On January 29, 2013, Apple announced a new version of the iPad 4. This new model had 128 GB of storage. It became available for sale on February 5, 2013.

Discontinuation and Return

The iPad 4 was stopped being sold on October 22, 2013. This happened after the newer iPad Air was announced. However, it was brought back for sale on March 18, 2014. This was after the older iPad 2 was no longer sold.
