During her one-year National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) program, Ibilola started her own company. She founded Lonadek in 1991. After her NYSC, she worked at National Engineering and Technical Company (NETCO) in 1992. There, she trained the first 67 engineers hired by the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) for NETCO.

Building Lonadek

In 2003, she left NETCO to focus on Lonadek. She built Lonadek into a company that offers expert advice and services. The company helps with developing and maintaining important assets in a lasting way. It also helps local people get involved in these projects.

Ibilola was the chairperson of the industry advisory team for the Lagos State Technical and Vocational Education Board. In this role, she helped connect industries with schools and universities.
