Ingerophrynus is a group of toads, often called "true toads." There are eleven different kinds, or species, in this group. For a long time, ten of these species were thought to belong to a different group called Bufo.
In 2007, scientists found a new species and named it Ingerophrynus gollum. This name comes from the famous character Gollum, who was created by the writer J. R. R. Tolkien.
These toads live in several parts of Asia. You can find them in Southern Yunnan (a part of China) and Indochina. They also live in places like Thailand, the Malay Peninsula, Sumatra, Borneo, Java, Nias Island, and Sulawesi.
