Early Life and Education
Inés Sainz Gallo was born in Santiago de Querétaro, Mexico. Her father was a lawyer and her mother was a homemaker. She grew up in Mexico City with her parents and three brothers, including her twin.
As a child, Sainz loved playing sports. Her mother also encouraged her to try modeling. She started by appearing in TV commercials for well-known companies.
For her education, Sainz studied law at the Universidad del Valle de México. She later earned a master's degree in tax law and another degree in sports business.
In 1998, she married television producer Héctor Pérez Rojano. They have four children together. Sainz still enjoys playing sports like soccer, swimming, volleyball, basketball, and tennis.
Career in Journalism
As a sports journalist, Inés Sainz has interviewed some of the biggest names in sports. She has talked with tennis stars Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal, and basketball legends Kobe Bryant and Shaquille O'Neal. She also interviewed famous baseball players like Derek Jeter and Alex Rodriguez.
Sainz is especially known for her work in soccer. She has interviewed world-famous players like Ronaldo, Zinedine Zidane, Cristiano Ronaldo, and Lionel Messi.

A Difficult Moment
In 2010, Sainz faced a challenging situation while working. She was at the NY Jets practice facility to interview quarterback Mark Sanchez. While she was on the sidelines, some players and coaches threw footballs in her direction.
Later, in the locker room, she was the target of unprofessional comments. She tweeted that she felt "uncomfortable." Other reporters confirmed that team members were making rude remarks. After the incident became public, the owner of the Jets, Woody Johnson, gave her a personal apology.
Sainz said the event was difficult for her. However, the publicity also made her one of the most well-known journalists in Mexico and Latin America at the time.
