Jamall Emmers (born July 24, 1989) is an American mixed martial artist. He is known for competing in the Featherweight division. Jamall currently fights in the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC).

Jamall Emmers' Early Life and MMA Journey
Jamall Emmers loved watching mixed martial arts (MMA) fights. His dad and brother would watch old PRIDE FC tapes together. This love for MMA inspired Jamall. He joined his high school wrestling team to prepare for a career in MMA. Wrestling helped him build a strong base for his fighting style.
Jamall Emmers' Professional MMA Career
Starting Out: Regional Fights and DWCS
Jamall Emmers started his professional MMA career in local circuits. He built an impressive record of 13 wins and 3 losses. He even beat future UFC fighters like Alexander Hernandez and Cory Sandhagen. These wins happened at an event called LFA 5.
His skills earned him an invitation to Dana White's Contender Series. This show gives fighters a chance to earn a contract with the UFC. Jamall fought Julian Erosa on June 26, 2018. He knocked Erosa down in the first round. However, he lost the fight by knockout in the second round.
Joining the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC)
After his Contender Series loss, Jamall Emmers won four fights in a row. This streak helped him get signed by the UFC.
First UFC Fights
Jamall was set to fight Movsar Evloev at UFC 248 on March 7, 2020. He took the fight on short notice. Evloev got injured, so Jamall fought Giga Chikadze instead. Jamall lost this fight by a split decision.
His next fight was against Vince Cachero on August 1, 2020. This was at UFC Fight Night: Brunson vs. Shahbazyan. Jamall won the fight by unanimous decision.
Challenges and Comebacks
Jamall was supposed to fight Chas Skelly on February 20, 2021. This fight was at UFC Fight Night: Blaydes vs. Lewis. However, Jamall had back spasms right before the fight. This meant he could not compete, and the fight was cancelled.
He returned to the octagon on August 28, 2021. He faced Pat Sabatini at UFC on ESPN: Barboza vs. Chikadze. Jamall knocked Sabatini down early in the fight. But Sabatini caught him in a submission move called a heel hook. Jamall had to give up in the first round.
Jamall was scheduled to fight Daniel Pineda on May 14, 2022. This fight was planned for UFC on ESPN 36. But the fight was cancelled for unknown reasons.
Recent UFC Bouts
On February 18, 2023, Jamall Emmers fought Khusein Askhabov. This took place at UFC Fight Night 219. Jamall won the fight by unanimous decision.
He then faced Jack Jenkins on June 24, 2023. This fight was at UFC on ABC: Emmett vs. Topuria. Jamall lost by split decision. Many experts thought Jamall should have won this fight.
Jamall fought Dennis Buzukja on November 11, 2023, at UFC 295. Jamall weighed a little over the limit for the fight. So, he gave up 20 percent of his earnings. He won the fight by TKO (technical knockout) in the first minute.
