Janeshia Adams-Ginyard, born on February 14, 1984, is an American actress, stunt performer, and professional wrestler. She is famous for playing Nomble, a member of the Dora Milaje, in the Marvel Cinematic Universe movie Black Panther. She also appeared in the Disney+ show The Falcon and the Winter Soldier. Janeshia is also known for her amazing stunt work in Black Panther and Avengers: Infinity War.

Early Life and Education

Janeshia Adams-Ginyard was born in Los Angeles, California. She has two siblings, including a twin sister. Her family comes from Jamaica.

She went to Gahr High School in Cerritos, California. There, she was a very talented athlete. Janeshia holds many school records in sports like the 300 metres hurdles and the heptathlon. She was also part of successful relay teams. She played volleyball too. In her final year of high school, she won the California championship for the 300 meters hurdles.

After high school, Janeshia studied at the University of California, Berkeley. She earned a degree in linguistics and African-American studies. She can also speak American sign language fluently. Janeshia is the CEO of Hyphy 4 Christ, Inc., which is a faith-based organization.

Sports Career

From 2006 to 2007, Janeshia was a member of the U.S. National Bobsled team. She was a brakeman, helping to slow down the bobsled. She and Jamia Jackson made history as the first all-African-American female bobsled team.

In 2012, Janeshia started hosting a radio show called Lady J's Wild World of Sports on LA Talk Live Radio. That same year, she began her career as a professional wrestler. She joined WOW! Women of Wrestling and used the ring name FROST The Olympian. This name was inspired by her real-life experience as a bobsledder.

Acting and Stunt Work

To prepare for her career as a stunt performer, Janeshia learned taekwondo and gymnastics. She also gained experience by working as an extra on movie sets.

She started doing stunts in 2010. Since then, she has performed stunts for many TV shows. These include The Mindy Project, K.C. Undercover, True Blood, and American Horror Story.

Janeshia appeared in the 2018 movie Black Panther as Nomble, a member of the Dora Milaje. She also worked as a stunt performer for the film. She was also a stunt double for actress Danai Gurira in another Marvel Cinematic Universe movie, Avengers: Infinity War. Her stunt work also includes shows like 9-1-1 and movies like Godzilla: King of the Monsters and Us.

Janeshia has also appeared in commercials for big brands like Nike and Toyota. She was even featured in a Lexus advertisement during the Super Bowl in 2018. In 2019, the stunt team for Black Panther won an award for Outstanding Action Performance by a Stunt Ensemble at the Screen Actors Guild Awards.

In 2021, Janeshia was nominated for a Primetime Emmy Award. This was for her amazing stunt performance in the HBO series Lovecraft Country. Later that year, on November 10, 2021, she became a member of the SAG-AFTRA National Stunt Committee.
