Jasmine Moore, born on May 1, 2001, is an amazing American athlete. She is known for her skills in both the long jump and the triple jump. At the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris, she won two bronze medals, one for each event! This made her a double Olympic medalist.
In 2022, Jasmine made history. She became the first American woman to qualify for the World Athletics Championships in both the long jump and the triple jump at the same time.

Jasmine's Athletic Journey
Jasmine Moore grew up in Grand Prairie, Texas. She first attended the University of Georgia. She chose this university to train with coach Petros Kyprianou. She was also inspired by another great athlete, Keturah Orji. In 2019, Jasmine was named the Gatorade Girls Track & Field Athlete of the Year. This award goes to top high school athletes.
Early College Success
In 2021, Jasmine won the triple jump at the SEC Outdoor Track and Field Championships. She set a personal best jump of 14.39 meters (47 feet 2.5 inches). This jump was good enough to qualify her for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. At the same event, she also placed third in the long jump. Her jump was 6.64 meters (21 feet 9.5 inches).
In June 2021, she earned a bronze medal in the long jump at the NCAA championships. Her jump was 6.65 meters (21 feet 10 inches). She also won a silver medal in the triple jump with a leap of 14.13 meters (46 feet 4.25 inches). On April 9, 2021, she set a new personal best in the long jump. This jump of 6.83 meters (22 feet 5 inches) was one of the best in the world that year. At the US Olympic Trials, she finished third in the triple jump. This secured her spot for her first Olympic Games.
Turning Professional
In 2023, Jasmine received the Honda Sports Award for track and field. This award recognizes the best female college athletes. She had won her seventh NCAA individual title. She also set an NCAA record in the triple jump with a jump of 14.78 meters (48 feet 6 inches).
On July 3, 2023, Jasmine decided to become a professional athlete. She signed a contract with the sports brand Puma. She then competed at the 2023 World Athletics Championships in Budapest. She finished tenth overall in the triple jump.
In 2024, she competed at the 2024 World Athletics Indoor Championships in Glasgow. She placed fifth in the triple jump. In June 2024, she won the triple jump at the US Olympic Trials. She also finished second in the long jump at the trials. Her long jump was 6.98 meters (22 feet 10.75 inches). By doing this, she became the first American woman to be chosen for the same Olympics in both events.

High School Achievements
Before college, Jasmine attended Lake Ridge High School in Grand Prairie, Texas. She was an amazing high school athlete. She won 9 Texas state UIL championships!
- In 2019, she was a Texas state champion in the triple jump (13.66 meters or 44 feet 9.75 inches) and long jump (6.28 meters or 20 feet 7.25 inches).
- In 2018, she won state titles in the triple jump (13.83 meters or 45 feet 4.5 inches) and long jump (6.30 meters or 20 feet 8 inches). She also helped her team win the 4x200 meter relay.
- In 2017, she was a Texas state champion in the triple jump (13.23 meters or 43 feet 5 inches) and long jump (5.97 meters or 19 feet 7 inches).
- In 2016, she won state titles in the triple jump (12.85 meters or 42 feet 2 inches) and long jump (6.05 meters or 19 feet 10.25 inches).
