Jasmine Moore, born on May 1, 2001, is an amazing American athlete. She is famous for her skills in the long jump and triple jump. At the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris, she won two bronze medals. This made her a double Olympic medalist!
In 2022, Jasmine made history. She became the first American woman to compete in both the long jump and triple jump at the World Athletics Championships. She continues to inspire many young athletes.

Early Life and College
Jasmine grew up in Grand Prairie, Texas. She went to the University of Georgia for college. She chose Georgia to train with coach Petros Kyprianou. She was also inspired by another great athlete, Keturah Orji.
In 2019, Jasmine was named the Gatorade Girls Track & Field Athlete of the Year. This award goes to top high school athletes.
College Achievements
Jasmine had a fantastic college career. In 2021, she won the triple jump at the SEC Outdoor Track and Field Championships. Her jump was 14.39 m (47 ft 3 in). This jump was good enough for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. She also placed third in the long jump at the same event.
Later in 2021, she earned a bronze medal in the long jump at the NCAA championships. She also won a silver medal in the triple jump there. Her personal best in the long jump was 6.83 m (22 ft 5 in). This was one of the best college jumps ever!
At the US Olympic Trials, she finished third in the triple jump. This earned her a spot on the Olympic team for the 2020 Summer Games.
In 2023, Jasmine won the Honda Sports Award for track and field. This award is given to the best female college athletes. She set a new NCAA record in the triple jump with a jump of 48 feet 6 inches.
Professional Career
In July 2023, Jasmine decided to become a professional athlete. She signed a contract with Puma. This meant she would no longer compete for her college team.
She then competed at the 2023 World Athletics Championships in Budapest. She qualified for the finals and finished tenth overall.
In 2024, Jasmine competed at the World Athletics Indoor Championships in Glasgow. She finished fifth in the triple jump.
Olympic Success
In June 2024, Jasmine won the triple jump at the 2024 United States Olympic trials. She also placed second in the long jump. This made her the first American woman to qualify for the same Olympics in both events!
At the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris, Jasmine made history. She won a bronze medal in the long jump. She then won another bronze medal in the triple jump. This was an amazing achievement for her and for Team USA.

High School Achievements
Jasmine went to Lake Ridge High School in Grand Prairie, Texas. She was a 9-time Texas state UIL champion. This means she won many state titles in high school.
In 2019, she won the Texas state University Interscholastic League championship in both the triple jump (13.66 m (44 ft 10 in)) and long jump (6.28 m (20 ft 7 in)).
In 2018, she won state titles in the triple jump (13.83 m (45 ft 4 in)) and long jump (6.30 m (20 ft 8 in)). She also won the 4x200 meter relay.
In 2017, she was a state champion in the triple jump (13.23 m (43 ft 5 in)) and long jump (5.97 m (19 ft 7 in)).
In 2016, she won state titles in the triple jump (12.85 m (42 ft 2 in)) and long jump (6.05 m (19 ft 10 in)).
