Jeffrén Isaac Suárez Bermúdez (born January 20, 1988), known as Jeffrén, is a former footballer from Venezuela. He played as a forward or a winger.
Jeffrén started his career at Barcelona. He later played for Sporting CP in Portugal. Besides Spain, he also played professionally in Belgium, Switzerland, Cyprus, Croatia, the United Arab Emirates, and Thailand.
He played 30 games for Spain's youth teams. He won the European Championships with the under-19 and under-21 teams. In 2015, he played his first senior game for Venezuela.

Jeffrén's Early Life
Jeffrén was born in Ciudad Bolívar, Venezuela. When he was just one year old, his family moved to the Spanish island of Tenerife.
FC Barcelona talent scouts noticed him. In 2004, he joined Barcelona's youth teams from CD Tenerife. His first coach, Guillermo Hoyos, played him as a midfielder.
Playing for Clubs
Time at Barcelona
Jeffrén played three full seasons with FC Barcelona B. In the 2006–07 season, his team was moved down a league. The next season, he scored six goals in 30 games, helping them get promoted right away.
On November 8, 2006, when he was 18, Jeffrén played his first game for the main Barcelona team. It was a Copa del Rey match against CF Badalona. He came on as a substitute in the 83rd minute. Barcelona won 4–0 at home.
The first-team manager, Pep Guardiola, was impressed by Jeffrén's play for the reserve team. He called Jeffrén to join the main team for the 2008–09 pre-season. Jeffrén played in all seven pre-season matches and scored two goals. On May 17, 2009, he played his first La Liga game. Barcelona had already won the championship that year.
On December 19, 2009, Jeffrén came on as a substitute in the FIFA Club World Cup final against Estudiantes de La Plata. Barcelona won that match.
On February 10, 2010, Barcelona announced that Jeffrén had signed a new contract. This kept him at the Camp Nou until June 30, 2012. On April 3, 2010, Jeffrén scored his first top-division goal. It was in a 4–1 home win against Athletic Bilbao. He scored another goal on April 24 in a 3–1 home win over Xerez CD. He played in 18 official games that season.
Jeffrén played less for Barcelona's main team in the 2010–11 season. On November 29, 2010, he came off the bench to score the final goal in a big game called El Clásico. Barcelona won 5–0 against Real Madrid at home.
Moving to Sporting CP
On August 4, 2011, Sporting CP signed Jeffrén. He signed a five-year contract with the club in Lisbon.
Jeffrén played his first game for Sporting on August 13, 2011. It was a 1–1 home draw against S.C. Olhanense. For most of his first season, he was out of action due to injuries.
Jeffrén returned to play on March 11, 2012. He scored two goals in just 12 minutes in a 5–0 home win against Vitória de Guimarães. In his second year, he played only 13 league games. After that, the team decided he was no longer needed.
Playing for Valladolid
On February 1, 2014, Jeffrén returned to Spain's top league. He joined Real Valladolid on a two-and-a-half-year deal. He played his first game for them on February 9 at home against Elche CF. He came on at half-time and helped set up a goal. However, he left the game soon after with a muscle injury.
Jeffrén scored his first goal for Valladolid on November 2, 2014. He came off the bench to score the winning goal in a 2–1 win against Girona FC. This win put his team at the top of the second division league table. He scored three goals in 35 games that season.
On August 29, 2015, Jeffrén ended his contract with Valladolid.
Time at Eupen
On the same day he left Valladolid, Jeffrén signed a three-year deal with K.A.S. Eupen in the Belgian Second Division. He played his first game for them on September 13. He scored his first goal for Eupen thirteen days later, helping them win 3–1.
On October 3, 2015, Jeffrén scored two goals in a 5–1 win against K.S.K. Heist. He finished the season with three goals in 17 matches. His team finished third and was promoted to the Belgian First Division A.
Later Career
Jeffrén joined Grasshopper Club Zürich in Switzerland on July 9, 2017. He left in January 2019 to play for AEK Larnaca FC in Cyprus. One year later, he moved to Croatia to play for NK Slaven Belupo.
After a short time with Al Dhaid SC in the United Arab Emirates, Jeffrén signed with Lamphun Warriors F.C. in Thailand in June 2021.
International Career
Playing for Spain's Youth Teams
Jeffrén was part of the Spain under-19 team that won the 2006 UEFA European Championship. He played eight matches and scored three goals.
In 2011, he was chosen to play for the Spain under-21 team in the European Championships in Denmark. He played in three games and scored a goal in the semi-final. Spain won their third trophy in this age group.
Playing for Venezuela
After playing for Spain's youth teams, Jeffrén decided he wanted to play for Venezuela's senior team. On March 19, 2015, he got the necessary paperwork. He was called up for the first time on August 18. He played his first game for Venezuela on September 8. It was a 1–1 friendly match against Panama.
