Jeffrén Isaac Suárez Bermúdez (born January 20, 1988), known as Jeffrén, is a former footballer from Venezuela. He played as a forward or a winger.

Jeffrén started his career at Barcelona. He later played for Sporting CP in Portugal. Besides Spain, he also played professionally in Belgium, Switzerland, Cyprus, Croatia, the United Arab Emirates, and Thailand.

He played 30 games for Spain's youth teams. He won the European Championships with the under-19 and under-21 teams. In 2015, he played his first senior game for Venezuela.

Jeffrén's Early Life

Jeffrén was born in Ciudad Bolívar, Venezuela. When he was just one year old, his family moved to the Spanish island of Tenerife.

FC Barcelona talent scouts noticed him. In 2004, he joined Barcelona's youth teams from CD Tenerife. His first coach, Guillermo Hoyos, played him as a midfielder.

Playing for Clubs

Time at Barcelona

Jeffrén played three full seasons with FC Barcelona B. In the 2006–07 season, his team was moved down a league. The next season, he scored six goals in 30 games, helping them get promoted right away.

On November 8, 2006, when he was 18, Jeffrén played his first game for the main Barcelona team. It was a Copa del Rey match against CF Badalona. He came on as a substitute in the 83rd minute. Barcelona won 4–0 at home.

Jeffrén played in all seven pre-season matches and scored two goals. On May 17, 2009, he played his first La Liga game. Barcelona had already won the championship that year.

On December 19, 2009, Jeffrén came on as a substitute in the FIFA Club World Cup final against Estudiantes de La Plata. Barcelona won that match.

It was in a 4–1 home win against Athletic Bilbao. He scored another goal on April 24 in a 3–1 home win over Xerez CD. He played in 18 official games that season.

Jeffrén played less for Barcelona's main team in the 2010–11 season. On November 29, 2010, he came off the bench to score the final goal in a big game called El Clásico. Barcelona won 5–0 against Real Madrid at home.

On August 29, 2015, Jeffrén ended his contract with Valladolid.

Time at Eupen

On the same day he left Valladolid, Jeffrén signed a three-year deal with K.A.S. Eupen in the Belgian Second Division. He played his first game for them on September 13. He scored his first goal for Eupen thirteen days later, helping them win 3–1.
