Johan Martin Ferner (born Johan Martin Jacobsen; 22 July 1927 – 24 January 2015) was a famous Norwegian sailor. He won a silver medal at the 1952 Summer Olympics in Helsinki, Finland. He was part of the sailing team in the 6 metre class with their boat Elisabeth X. His brother, Finn Ferner, was also on this team. Johan Ferner was married to Princess Astrid, who is the sister of King Harald V of Norway.

His Family Background
Johan Ferner's father was Ferner Jacobsen (1884–1964). He was a master tailor who started a large department store in Oslo. Johan inherited this store in 1964. The name "Ferner" was actually his father's first name. Johan Martin Ferner and his brothers and sisters later decided to use "Ferner" as their family name. His grandfather, Johan Martin Jacobsen (1850–1907), was a maritime pilot from Tjøme.
Marriage to Princess Astrid
Johan Ferner was married twice. His first marriage was to Ingeborg 'Bitte' Hesselberg-Meyer (1931–1997) on 20 January 1953. They later divorced in 1956.
He then married Princess Astrid of Norway on 12 January 1961. The wedding took place at Asker Church, just outside Oslo. Princess Astrid is the second daughter of King Olav V of Norway and Princess Märtha of Sweden.
His Children
Johan and Princess Astrid had five children together:
- Cathrine Ferner (born 22 July 1962, Oslo). She married Arild Johansen on 9 December 1989. They have two children:
- Sebastian Ferner Johansen (born 9 March 1990, Oslo). He has two children:

- Ferdinand Johansen (born 2021)
- Madeleine Ferner Johansen (born 7 March 1993, Oslo). She married Ole Aleksander on 17 October 2022.
- Sebastian Ferner Johansen (born 9 March 1990, Oslo). He has two children:
- Benedikte Ferner (born 27 September 1963, Oslo). She married Rolf Woods on 30 April 1994, but they divorced in 1998. She later married Mons Einar Stange on 2 December 2000, and they separated in 2002. She does not have any children.
- Alexander Ferner (born 15 March 1965, Oslo). He married Margrét Gudmundsdóttir (born 27 March 1966, Reykjavík, Iceland) on 27 July 1996. They have two children:
- Elisabeth Ferner (born 30 March 1969, Oslo). She married Tom Folke Beckmann on 3 October 1992. They have one son:
- Benjamin Ferner Beckmann (born 25 April 1999, Oslo).
- Carl-Christian Ferner (born 22 October 1972, Oslo). He married Anna-Stina Slattum Karlsen (born 23 February 1984) on 4 October 2014. He works for the family business, Ferner Jacobsen AS. They have two children:

- Fam Ferner (born 28 January 2021)
