Early Life and School Days

Joseph Mayanja was born in Kampala, Uganda, on April 30, 1979. He was the fourth of eight children born to Gerald and Prossy Mayanja.

He attended several schools. These included Nakasero Primary School and Mengo Senior Secondary School. He also went to Kawempe Muslim Senior Secondary School.

Jose Chameleone even wrote the school song for Kawempe Muslim Secondary School! He is part of the Roman Catholic Church in Uganda.
