Juaquin Iglesias (pronounced Hwah-KEEN; born August 22, 1987) is a former American football player. He played as a wide receiver. Juaquin played in both the National Football League (NFL) and the Canadian Football League (CFL). He played college football for the Oklahoma Sooners. The Chicago Bears chose him in the third round of the 2009 NFL draft.

Early Life and High School Sports
Juaquin Iglesias was born to Bobby and Bernita Iglesias. His father owned a barber shop in Temple, Texas. Juaquin started playing football early. He played for the Boys and Girls Club in Killeen, Texas.
At Killeen High School, Juaquin was a star athlete. In his senior year, he caught 42 passes for 886 yards. He also scored 10 touchdowns. He was named first-team all-district for his great performance. Besides football, Juaquin was also good at other sports. He ran track and field races. He also played basketball, scoring about 17 points per game.
College Football Career
Juaquin Iglesias played college football for the Oklahoma Sooners. He joined the team in 2005. In his first year, he caught 19 passes. He scored his first college touchdown against the Baylor Bears. This touchdown helped Oklahoma win in double overtime.
In 2006, he continued to improve. He had 41 catches that season. In the 2007 Fiesta Bowl against Boise State, he had a fantastic game. He caught passes for 129 yards. He also caught a key pass that helped Oklahoma tie the game late. In 2007, he had another great game against the University of Tulsa. He caught 8 passes for 142 yards and two touchdowns.
Professional Football Journey
After college, Juaquin Iglesias became a professional football player. He played for several teams in different leagues.
Joining the NFL: Chicago Bears
The 2009 NFL draft is where NFL teams pick new players. Juaquin was chosen by the Chicago Bears. He was the 99th player picked overall. He signed a four-year contract with the Bears in June 2009. During his first year, he played in one game.
Moving to Other NFL Teams
Later, Juaquin moved to other NFL teams. The Minnesota Vikings signed him from the Bears' practice squad. This happened before a game in late 2010. After that, the Houston Texans signed him to their practice squad in 2012. However, he was released by the Texans later that year.
Playing in the CFL: Toronto Argonauts
In 2013, Juaquin Iglesias moved to the Canadian Football League (CFL). He signed with the Toronto Argonauts on February 21, 2013. During the 2013 CFL season, he caught 3 passes for 65 yards. He was released by the Argonauts in September 2013.
