Muhammed-Kabeer Olarewaju Gbaja-Biamila Sr. (pronounced kə-BEER BAH-jah BEE-ə-MIL-ə; born September 24, 1977), often called "KGB", is a former American football player. He played his entire nine-year career as a defensive end for the Green Bay Packers in the National Football League (NFL).
He played college football for the San Diego State Aztecs. The Green Bay Packers chose him in the fifth round of the 2000 NFL draft. He was selected for the Pro Bowl in 2003, which is a special game for the best players.

Early Life and Community Work
Kabeer Gbaja-Biamila went to Crenshaw High School in Los Angeles, California. He played football and ran track for three years.
While in high school, Gbaja-Biamila was part of a student-run company called Food from the 'Hood. This company grew organic food and started after the 1992 Los Angeles riots. Food From the Hood later sold its own salad dressings in big grocery stores and online.
For their hard work, Food From the Hood received the "American Achievement Award" from Newsweek magazine. Both Gbaja-Biamila and other founders were featured on the magazine's cover. On November 1, 1994, Prince Charles visited Crenshaw High School after being invited by Food From the Hood.
College Football Career
Gbaja-Biamila attended San Diego State University. He was a starting player for three years with the Aztecs. He set a school record with 33 sacks during his college career. This record was previously held by former Packers player Mike Douglass.
He was chosen as a first-team all-conference player in his last three seasons. He earned a degree in business administration.

In 2000, Gbaja-Biamila went to the NFL Combine. This is where college players show their skills to NFL teams. He was measured at 6 feet 3 and 5/8 inches tall and weighed 243 pounds. He ran the 40-yard dash in 4.65 seconds.
The Packers picked Gbaja-Biamila in the fifth round of the 2000 NFL draft. He was the 149th player chosen overall. In his first year, he played in seven games and made 1.5 sacks and nine tackles.
Breakout Seasons: 2001-2004
Gbaja-Biamila had a great season in 2001. In Week 1, he recorded three sacks and forced a fumble against the Detroit Lions. He had another three-sack game in Week 4 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He was named the NFC Defensive Player of the Month for December 2001. He finished the 2001 season with 13.5 sacks, 24 tackles, and three forced fumbles.
In 2002, during Week 5, Gbaja-Biamila caught an interception and ran it back 72 yards for a touchdown against the Chicago Bears. He also had three sacks in Week 9 against the Miami Dolphins. He ended the 2002 season with 12 sacks, 47 tackles, and four forced fumbles.
In 2003, Gbaja-Biamila became the first Packers player to get ten or more sacks in three years in a row. He finished the 2003 season with ten sacks and 47 tackles. He was chosen for the Pro Bowl that year.
In the 2004 season, Gbaja-Biamila recorded four sacks in a Week 17 game against the Chicago Bears. He was named NFC Defensive Player of the Week for his performance. In 2004, he again had double-digit sacks, bringing down opposing quarterbacks 13.5 times.
Later Career and Retirement
In the 2005 season, Gbaja-Biamila started all 16 games. He recorded eight sacks and 53 tackles. During the 2006 season, he played in all 16 games and started three. He had six sacks and 40 tackles.
In October 2007, Gbaja-Biamila broke the Green Bay Packers' sack record. He had 69 sacks, passing the previous record held by Hall of Famer Reggie White. He finished the 2007 season with 9.5 sacks.
Gbaja-Biamila played in seven games for the Packers in 2008. He was released from the team on November 1, 2008.
In 2013, Kabeer Gbaja-Biamila was inducted into the Green Bay Packers Hall of Fame. He was honored alongside Packers kicker Chris Jacke.

Family and Community Involvement
Kabeer Gbaja-Biamila is the fifth child of his mother, Bolatito Gbaja-Biamila, and the second child of his father, Mustapha Gbaja-Biamila. His younger brother, Akbar Gbaja-Biamila, also played as a linebacker in the NFL.
His middle name "Ọláńrewájú" means "Wealth is moving forward" in the Yoruba language. His last name “Gbàjàbíàmílà” means "One who, while fighting, pretends to be separating a fight."
Gbaja-Biamila was involved with Crown Financial Ministries. This group teaches people how to manage money using principles from the Bible. He helped organize the first faith-based event at Lambeau Field in July 2007. This event, called Lambeau Leap of Faith, brought thousands of Christians together.
He also served on the board of directors for Freedom House Ministries. This organization is a shelter for families experiencing homelessness in Green Bay. Each year, Freedom House helps many families and children find stable homes and jobs. In 2007, he started Kabeer's Freedom House Sack Fund. He and his teammates pledged money for each sack recorded that year to support the fund.
