Early Days in Domestic Cricket

Kagiso Rabada started his professional cricket journey playing for the Gauteng team in December 2013. This was in a competition called the CSA Provincial One-Day Competition.

Shining in the Under-19 World Cup

Rabada was chosen to play for South Africa's Under-19 team in the 2014 ICC Under-19 Cricket World Cup. South Africa won this tournament, and Rabada was one of their best players. He took 14 wickets, which means he got 14 batters out. He also had the best bowling figures in the tournament, taking 6 wickets for only 25 runs against Australia A. Because of his amazing performance, people called him "the fastest and most feared bowler" in the competition.

His great playing in the Under-19 World Cup helped him join the Lions team for their last two games of the season. He took 7 wickets in these matches.

Record-Breaking Performances

In February 2015, Rabada made a new record for the Lions team against the Dolphins. He took 14 wickets in one match, including 9 wickets for only 33 runs in one part of the game. His total of 14 wickets for 105 runs was the best bowling performance in South African franchise cricket history.

In February 2016, Rabada signed a short contract to play for Kent County Cricket Club in England. He chose this over a contract in the Indian Premier League (IPL) to get more experience playing in English conditions. He played in two County Championship matches and six T20 matches for Kent.

Playing in Top Cricket Leagues

Rabada has played for several teams in popular T20 leagues around the world.
