Katherine Anne Bosworth (born January 2, 1983) is an American actress. She started her acting career with smaller parts in movies like The Horse Whisperer (1998) and Remember the Titans (2000). She became well-known for her main role in the surfing movie Blue Crush (2002).

Kate Bosworth has also appeared in independent films. She played Dawn Schiller in Wonderland (2003). She also played Sandra Dee in the movie about Bobby Darin, Beyond the Sea (2004). Kate Bosworth was born in Los Angeles, California. She also lived in San Francisco when she was a child. Her mother, Patricia, was a homemaker. Her father, Harold Bosworth, worked as an executive. Kate is their only child.

She was born with a unique eye condition called heterochromia iridum. This means her right eye is hazel, and her left eye is blue. When she was six, her family moved often because of her father's job. She spent most of her childhood on the East Coast, living in Massachusetts and Connecticut.
