Kedar Mahadev Jadhav is a former Indian cricketer. He was born on March 26, 1985. Kedar played for the India national cricket team. He was known for his right-handed batting.
Kedar also sometimes acted as a wicket-keeper and bowled right-arm off-spin. He played for the Maharashtra in local matches.
In the Indian Premier League (IPL), Kedar played for several teams. These include the Chennai Super Kings, Sunrisers Hyderabad, Delhi Daredevils, and Kochi Tuskers Kerala.
He made his first One Day International (ODI) match for India in November 2014. This was against Sri Lanka. His first T20I game for India was in July 2015. This match was against Zimbabwe.
Kedar helped India win the 2018 Asia Cup Final. He scored 23 runs and stayed until the end of the game. This helped his team win the trophy for the seventh time.

Kedar Jadhav's Early Life
Kedar Jadhav was born in Pune, Maharashtra, India. He came from a middle-class family. His family originally came from a place called Jadhavwadi. This village is in the Solapur district.
Kedar is the youngest of four children. His father, Mahadev Jadhav, worked as a clerk. He worked for the Maharashtra State Electricity Board until he retired in 2003.
Kedar lives in the Kothrud area of Pune. He started playing cricket at the PYC Hindu Gymkhana. He first played tennis ball cricket for Rainbow Cricket Club. Later, he was chosen for the Maharashtra under-19 team in 2004.
Kedar's Domestic Cricket Career
In 2012, Kedar Jadhav scored his first triple century. He made 327 runs in one game. This was the second-highest score ever by a Maharashtra player in the Ranji Trophy. He achieved this against the Uttar Pradesh team. The match was played at the Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Pune.
During the 2013–14 Ranji Trophy season, Kedar scored a lot of runs. He made 1,223 runs, including six centuries. This was the fourth-highest total in the tournament's history. His great performance helped Maharashtra reach the Ranji Trophy final. This was their first final since 1992-93. Kedar also played for India A and West Zone cricket team.
In October 2019, Kedar was chosen for the India B squad. This was for the 2019–20 Deodhar Trophy tournament.
Kedar Jadhav's International Career
Kedar Jadhav was picked for the Indian team in June 2014. This was for a tour to Bangladesh. However, he did not get to play in any matches.
He played his first international match in November 2014. This was against Sri Lanka in Ranchi. He scored 20 runs from 24 balls before being out.
In July 2015, Kedar played in all three ODI matches against Zimbabwe. In the third match, he scored 105 runs without being out. This was his first century in an ODI game. During this tour, he also played his first T20I match.
In January 2017, Kedar scored 120 runs from 76 balls. He made a huge partnership of 200 runs with captain Virat Kohli. This helped India win against England on his home ground. In the third match of the same series, he scored 90 runs. He almost helped India win a chase of 320 runs.
He was out on the second-to-last ball of the game. Even though India lost, Kedar had shown he was a key player. He won the Player of the Series award for scoring 232 runs. Kedar then played for India in the Champions Trophy 2017. He remained an important part of the Indian team.
In April 2019, Kedar was selected for India's team for the 2019 Cricket World Cup. On June 3, 2024, he announced that he was retiring from all types of cricket.
Kedar Jadhav in the Indian Premier League
Kedar Jadhav started with the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) development team. In 2010, he was signed by Delhi Daredevils. He made a big impact right away. In his first IPL match for Delhi, he scored 50 runs from just 29 balls against RCB.
The next year, a new team, Kochi Tuskers Kerala, signed him. He played only six matches for them that year. In 2013, Delhi signed him again. However, they did not keep him for the 2014 IPL auction. Delhi then bought him back. In 2014, he scored 149 runs in 10 games for Delhi.
Before the 2016 IPL, Kedar was traded back to Royal Challengers Bangalore. In 2018, the Chennai Super Kings picked him. But he had to leave the tournament early. He tore a muscle in his leg during the first match against Mumbai Indians.
In February 2021, the Sunrisers Hyderabad bought Kedar. This was during the IPL auction for the 2021 Indian Premier League. He was not bought by any team in the 2022 IPL auctions.
Kedar Jadhav's Business Ventures
In April 2024, Kedar Jadhav started a fitness and sports nutrition brand. It is called Explosive Whey. He founded it with Mandar Bhandari and Rishikesh Hande. MS Dhoni, another famous cricketer, joined them. Dhoni became an investor and a brand ambassador for their protein supplement product.
