Kelly Ann Parsons was born in Rochester, Kent. Her mother, Sandra Kelly, was a cook, and her father, Kenneth Parsons, was a scaffolder. She has a younger brother, Damian, and an older half-sister, Sasha. Her father passed away in 2007.
Kelly went to the Thomas Aveling School in Rochester. When she was 17, she appeared in a BBC comedy show called "Fist of Fun". She also studied at the Italia Conti Academy of Theatre Arts in London for three years. She became a professional model at the age of 16.
