Kevin Grevioux (pronounced GREV-yoo; born September 9, 1962) is an American actor, writer, and director. He also creates comic books. You might know him as Raze from the Underworld movies. He helped create this film series. He also voiced the villain Black Beetle in the cartoon Young Justice.

Kevin Grevioux's Early Life and Education
Kevin Grevioux went to Howard University in Washington, D.C.. He graduated in 1987 with a degree in microbiology. He also studied chemistry and psychology. After college, he started studying genetic engineering for his master's degree.
During this time, he also began taking classes in screenwriting and filmmaking. After his first semester of graduate school, he moved to Los Angeles. He wanted to become a writer. He wrote many movie scripts in different styles. In 2003, he started his own graphic novel company called Darkstorm Comic Studios.
Kevin Grevioux's Career in Film and Comics
Kevin Grevioux has acted in many movies. Some of his roles include films like The Mask and Congo. He also appeared in Tim Burton's Planet of the Apes remake.
Creating the Underworld Series
The movie Underworld was the first film he wrote that was produced. He came up with the main idea for the story. He wrote the first script with director Len Wiseman. This movie started the whole Underworld series.
In the film, Kevin Grevioux plays a character named Raze. Raze is a Lycan, which is a type of werewolf. Grevioux returned as Raze in the prequel movie, Underworld: Rise of the Lycans. He also plans to turn this prequel into a comic book series.
Grevioux got the idea for Underworld from his own experiences. He based the story on the classic tale of Romeo and Juliet. He also added a scientific twist to vampires and werewolves. In his stories, their powers come from a special virus, not just magic.
Starting Comic Book Companies
In 2006, Grevioux started two comic book companies. They were called Astounding Comics and Darkstorm Comics. Astounding Comics focused on stories for all ages. These included titles like Valkyries and Guardian Heroes. Darkstorm Comics created stories for older readers. Some of these books were Alivs Rex and Skull and Guns.
Kevin Grevioux's Unique Voice
Kevin Grevioux has a very deep voice. When the Underworld movie came out, many fans asked if his voice was changed by a computer. They were surprised to learn that it was his natural voice!
Writing for Marvel Comics and Other Publishers
Grevioux has written for Marvel Comics. He wrote for the New Warriors comic series. He also created a character called Blue Marvel. He wrote a miniseries about this character called Adam: Legend of the Blue Marvel. He has also written stories for other comic characters like The Phantom and Mandrake the Magician. He also wrote ZMD: Zombies of Mass Destruction.
Other Projects and Directing
In 2009, Kevin Grevioux hosted a TV show pilot called Monster Tracker on the Discovery Channel.
He also sold the idea for a movie based on his graphic novel, I, Frankenstein. This movie was made by the same company that produced the Underworld films. The story is about Victor Frankenstein's monster. The monster is the only one who can stop supernatural creatures from taking over the world. The movie was released in January 2014.
Since 2017, he has been working on an action webcomic called Brothers Bond. He created it with Ryan Benjamin. They were even nominated for an Eisner Award for Best Webcomic.
In 2019, Grevioux was part of an audio drama called "EC Comics Presents The Vault of Horror". He played a character called The Vault Keeper.
In 2022, Kevin Grevioux directed, wrote, and produced the action film King of Killers. This movie was based on his own graphic novel. He also acted in the film.
